* Learn from a Valencian chef
* Valencia is known as the 'birthplace' of paella
* Includes visit to a local market (Mon.-Sat.)
"Valencians eat rice 6 times a week, and paella on Sundays." This is a popular saying in Valencia, and there is certainly some truth to it. Learn how to cook the national dish of the Valencians, with all the ins and outs. You'll prepare the typical version of our area, Paella Valenciana, with chicken and rabbit (upon paellas other varieties of paellas available for private groups). You'll also learn about some simple tapas. Drinks like wine, beer, soft drinks and water are included.
The day starts with a visit to a local market (Mon.-Sat.). You'll shop for all the ingredients: saffron, meat and beans. Then it's time to start cooking your first paella! Once the cooking is finished, you will compare all the paellas during a relaxed lunch. How will the chef rate your paella?!
You can either participate in an open class or a private class. The classes are available mornings, afternoons or evenings. The afternoon and evening class do not include a visit to Mercat Central.
