* vibrant contrast between the historical city centre and the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences (CAC)
* impressive architecture: gothic Silk Exchange, modernist Central Market and 'free floating' opera (2005)
* interesting facts and entertaining legends
Valencia is a city of strong contrasts, and this is the perfect tour to see these vibrant differences: You will wander trough the Old Town with its historical squares and narrow alleys, but also be blown away by Santiago Calatrava's (Valencia, *1951) modern architecture in the City or Arts and Sciences (CAC). During this private guided tour adopted to your needs and wishes you will visit the Central Market (Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 3 PM), the Silk Exchange and the Cathedral (incl. inside visit if requested). We can take a short break to enjoy Horchata (traditional Valencia drink) or some tapas. On our way to the City of Arts and Sciences (CAC) we will travel along the dry river bed, nowadays Europe's longest city park and a huge green oasis. On our walk trough the futuristic CAC (outside visit of the Opera, sciences museum, IMAX cinema etc.) you'll be amazed by the walls covered with white tile mosaics, with dramatic blue skies as a backlash.
